American kids should be required to power their televisions the same way. The link even has how-to instructions and photos.

:congrats: Great post Jasper!

How many hamsters would it take to power a TV?

And how is that beneficial?

American kids would not be so fat if they powered their televisions.

Making a hamster-powered nightlight is no big deal.

Making a hamster wheel that doesn't squeak the whole damn night-THAT would be special.

KG, you are absolutely right!

I bought a no-batteries no-bulb NIGHTSTAR 2 SHAKE FLASHLIGHT on ebay recently:

"NightStars patented Mag-Lev recoil system smoothly rebounds the charging magnet back through the coil, efficiently transforming motion into electrical energy."

Shaking this damn thing to charge it up is equivalent to a regular workout!

You have to find a wheel with bearings.

They don't squeak.
